More About Dave
As the Worship Arts Director, Dave led the creative brainstorm and implementation process for weekend services as well as outreach events for Christmas and Easter and other large scale productions which drew tens of thousands of attendees from throughout the community. The Worship Arts Ministry consisted of six full-time and two part-time staff as well as hundreds of volunteers across three campuses and a variety of venues. Dave’s Worship Arts Team included Drama, Video Production, Technical Productions, Graphic Arts and Worship Leading staff supported by an annual $500,000+ budget.
In addition to leading worship at Calvary’s main campus for ten years, Dave has performed and led worship for a variety of camps, retreats and conferences such as Youth Specialties, Willow Creek’s Contagious Church Conference, Ministry to Men Conference and Joe White’s, Men At The Cross event. Dave has also led teams to provide worship for the Central European Missions Conference in Budapest Hungary for the Evangelical Free Church of America.
Technical Systems
Dave has 30 years of experience working with audio, video and lighting systems. As the Worship Arts Director, Dave and his staff were responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the A/V systems throughout all three campuses and venues including a 1700 seat auditorium. Dave was instrumental in the design process for the auditorium at the main campus as well as the building campaign for a second campus in terms of room specifications and audio/ visual and lighting equipment choices. Dave has worked with both large and small scale sound, lighting and video systems in portable environments in addition to permanent installations. Teaching and Assimilation
As a teacher, Dave is adept at teaching a wide range of audiences in a variety of settings including camps and retreats for children, youth, and adults. Dave has taught small groups for many years and is skilled in small group dynamics and one on one discipleship as well as addressing large audiences. As a Teaching Pastor, Dave’s responsibilities included providing weekly Bible classes and developing a team of lay teachers. As Assimilation Director, Dave has designed and taught curriculum for newcomer classes and membership classes as well as large group events designed to communicate the vision, and philosophy of the church and to call attendees to action. Dave has been active in the local jail as teaching pastor for weekend services and implemented the first of it’s kind Christmas service provided for the hundreds of inmates located at the facility.
